Terms & Conditions
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before using duoresponsive.com. By accessing or using our interactive responsiveness testing suite, you agree to be bound by these provisions.
Unrestricted Developer Utility
Free for personal, academic, agency, and enterprise web developers to evaluate dual-screen and mobile responsiveness on web projects.
Ethical & Lawful Usage
Users commit to testing only destinations they own or are authorized to inspect, without launching denial-of-service or scraping attacks.
Independent Platform
DuoResponsive is an independent technical simulator. Hardware names and trademarks belong entirely to their respective holders.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By visiting, accessing, or using duoresponsive.com (the "Service", "Website", or "Platform"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"), along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue your use of the Service immediately.
2. Permitted Use & Purpose
DuoResponsive is an engineering productivity tool engineered to assist software developers, UX/UI designers, quality assurance engineers, and web accessibility researchers. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable, and non-transferable license to utilize the Service for:
- Testing and inspecting website layout responsiveness, CSS media queries, and viewport segments.
- Simulating dual-screen form factors (such as the iPhone Duo dual-screen display, Microsoft Surface Duo, and foldable Android screens).
- Previewing local staging environments (e.g.
localhost) and public production web applications. - Consulting technical articles, responsive design guides, and device specifications.
3. Simulation Engine & Iframes
The DuoResponsive testing canvas operates by embedding user-specified URLs within isolated browser <iframe> elements configured to model precise hardware resolutions and aspect ratios.
- Third-Party Content Disclaimer: When you input a website URL, you understand that all content, scripts, styles, media, and functionality rendered inside the iframe remain the property and responsibility of that external site. DuoResponsive does not host, curate, or endorse external web content.
- Browser Security Compliance: Modern web standards allow website owners to forbid iframe embedding using headers like
X-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGINor CSPframe-ancestors. We strictly adhere to standard browser security policies and will not bypass legitimate security configurations.
4. Accuracy & Hardware Profiles
While our engineering team expends extensive effort to calibrate viewport dimensions, device pixel ratios (DPR), physical hinge seams (16px), and CSS environment variables to match official hardware specifications:
Notice Regarding Emulation vs. Physical Hardware:
DuoResponsive provides software-based viewport simulation. Minor rendering nuances may exist between a desktop browser rendering an iframe and a physical mobile operating system’s WebKit or Blink engine (such as touch event inertia, native font rasterization, and GPU acceleration). For critical production launches, we always recommend supplementing viewport simulation with physical hardware testing.
